Heading to the County Fair

A beautiful Fall day here in Central Florida! Temperatures overnight remain a pleasant 64 degrees or so. The lower humidity we are experiencing makes our daytime highs of mid 80's feel pretty comfortable.

We are heading out to the Volusia County fair in just a bit. This is the last weekend of the fair and the weather couldn't be more beautiful! Seems every year we've gone it has been in the evening. Not this year! It is so nice that we've decided to head out during the daylight hours this time. At least in the 'morning' hours all of the exhibits should be more active....at night people have already gone home for the most part.

Really looking forward to all the sights and smells at the fair....might even manage a few pictures with my cellphone...

  1. I hope you had a great day at the fair. It sounds like it was a good day for one.

  2. Is everything okay, Stormy? I know it's only been a couple of days since your last post, but it seems kind of quiet over here. *wave* :-)

(Maybe it's just me. These days seem to be dragging by for some reason. Just yesterday I was thinking about how it's only been three months since I last saw my parents and yet it seems like it was last year. Weird. LOL.)

  5. WOW...My mother in law has been gone for going on 5 months and I never knew of her blog site. It hurt so bad reading her last blog b/c later that day is when she was killed. Her and her husband was heading home from the fair when someone pulled out in front of them. Her husband tried to swirve but couldn't get our of the path of the other car. they collided and the truck Stormy was in flipped a few times.. killing her instantly. There is a memorial website on Myspace if you would like to visit it. www.myspace.com/nerak_1956 is the URL...
Our family is still trying to cope with her death. She will be missed by MANY.. She had one son. 2 step son's, 2 grandson's and 1 step-granddaughter.
We love you Karen. You will be dearly missed. May the memories of you never die.
